🧘 Hi Everyone, I hope you are all having a great week!
Here is a quick summary of what happened in my week/what I learnt
Habits are an amazing thing
They rule our day and almost control our lives without us even needing to think
One habit which I am totally addicted to at the moment is everyday as soon as I wake up I check my phone and go through my notifications. (I wouldn’t say I am alone in this habit) I would say this is what the majority of the population tend to do each morning as they wake up.
However, as James Clear explains in his book “Atomic habits” have a major impact on our lives as habits help to set up a pattern for our lives.
Example
Think of someone that gets a donut for breakfast everyday on their way to work. The singular donut won’t impact their lives each day however, the accumulation of a donut a day for one year or even a year will end up having an epic impact. This might be easier to explain financially, if a donut costs $5 it won’t have that much of an impact on the first day. After 6 months it would cost, $912.5, after a year that would be $1825 spent on donuts. That means if you held off buying a donut each day you could go on an extra holiday each year.

How this relates to exercise
It is important to understand that exercise whether that is running, cycling, swimming or something else all has a massive benefit to your lives. The individual impact of one workout won’t have this impact, as it is the accumulated benefit of all of these workouts combined over a long period of time which has a amazing benefit to your life. This is one of the reasons why exercising on a regular basis has a extremely positive impact on your life!
